DASH : DrDam's Advanced Space Helper.

This spacecraft was designed to provide assistance any space orbit.

Dash-Face.png

This ship has a capacity of 12,650 m / s. Thrust is provided by 12 LV-N Atomic Rocket Motors (800sec ISP and a single thrust of 60 kN) arranged in two distinct engine blocks.

Dash-Docks.png

The ship is also equipped with 7 Clamp-O-Tron Sr. Docking Ports, 2 to complete the LV-N thrust . The use of 2 Rockomax "Skipper" Liquid Engine offers a good compromise but reduces operational capability.

Off thrust, the energy supply is provided by two Gigantor XL Solar Array, and the equivalent of 3 Z-4K Rechargeable Battery Banks.

The translation and change of orientation are made through a combination SAS / RCS.

SAS is provided by a complex of 12 Inline Reaction Wheel distributed over the back deck and 11 Large Advanced SAS Module distributed in front of the DASH (4 on the front of motor blocks and 3 in the center of front deck)

RCS is provided by 5 FL-R1 RCS Fuel Tank supplying a total of 20 RV-105 RCS Thruster Block divided into 4 groups of 5 at each end of the vessel.

The design of DASH can carry a payload from the center to reduce its influence on the overall balance of the vessel.

For a fully loaded mass of 800 tonnes of fuel per 400 pieces, this vessel will answer all your backup space issues.

The full Stock part version are available here.

Takeoff

6 booster blocks are added to the Dash for takeoff.

These blocks are composed of a Rockomax "Mainsail" Liquid-X200 Rockomax overcome Engine 8 Fuel Tank and an Advanced Wide SAS Module. These boosters use the fuel in the tanks of the DASH and will that dropped during the ballistic phase. 2 Rockomax "Skipper" Liquid Engines are added to the docks engines.

To compensate for the loss of capacity, a Rockomax Jumbo 64 Fuel Tank is added to the central dock.

Takeoff flightplan

T-Xs: Enabling SAS, pre-heating the engine for a general thrust to 100% (excluding LV-N)

T +0 s: Ignition

T +1 m36s: Releasing additional tank

T +2 m: toggle gravity: pitch to 45°

T +2 m30s: Activation RCS

T +3 m05s: Beginning ballistic phase than 100km theoretical apogee

T +3 m30s: drain boosters in the reservoirs of DASH, deployment of solar panels.

T +4 m: drop boosters

T +4 M20S: Re-ignition engines (including LV-N), pitch to 90°, right on the horizon, theoretical atitude 100km.

T +7 m: ending circularization, theoretical orbit Perigee 85km and Apogee 120km

At the end of circularization, then the DASH weighs 180t and is waiting for refuel

He has a capacity of 275m / s or 500m / s if the skippers are dropped.
