Smaller resolution support?

I've noticed with my new new TV/PC Monitor. My games are unable to look good if they are over 720p. I am stuck at 1176x664. I would love to continue career mode, but with the smaller resolution. I don't have the research button. Because of my new 40" TV doesn't support HDMI for PC. Anything higher just gets cut around the edges.

Maybe you could try to set up higher desktop resolution and play in a slightly smaller window positioned in the middle of the desktop so the cut part is the desktop, not the contents of the window.

They used to support 800x600, but it was scrapped after they found it was nigh impossible to actually get all the GUI elements in the editing spaces to look good and actually fit. You'd get overlapping buttons, inaccessible tabs, etc. It was a bit of a nightmare. :/

Your TV is overscanning the output from the PC. On most TVs this can be disabled in the settings, look for something called "1:1", "pixel map", or "no overscan". If you can give the model of TV I can give more specific instructions.
