Cross Kerbal Expedition

I recently finished reading the book "Lost in mongolia" (great book by the way) and have been inspired to issue this challenge:

Take 1 or more kerbals and without flying, drive, walk or boat across Kerbin. You can start from either the hanger or the VAB.

There is only 1 rule and that is no flying*

*This Rule only applies to the kerbal, feel free to fly in exta equipment such as boats or replacement vehicles.

This challenge is monumental I know but I want to see if its possible. Happy travels!

There are some very similar challenges to this. Also, define what you mean by "across Kerbin." Like, around Kerbin? To the antipodal point (which is in the ocean)?

The problem with this challenge is simply that it is very time consuming and boring. I don't believe that many people want to use so much of their time crossing a mostly empty planet.
