how fast were you travelling? the 'Space Kraken' 'shows up' when you\'re already going at breakneck speeds (around >100,000m/s), depending on how large and stable your craft is.

I was working on a way to get around this, by injecting high-energy plasma through a coil to make a powerful magnetic field that warps space.

But the night before our test flight, the E-Con bombarded our silo with some kind of green energy weapon, Dina got me drunk, and her weird friend with the banana clip on his face fixed the thing for me.

Fortunately, we got Phoenix into the sky. Banana clip guy, Dina\'s 'not BF', and I were all rocking out to Steppenwolf. Swedish hitmen from the future nearly ruined everything. But Dina\'s friends showed up in a big ole UFO! You believe me, right? 8)

I know where that is from :D

I believe everything but the banana clip. Are you SURE about that one? ;)

Done in .13

I am perfectly willing to explain how it was done if you\'d like and what happens afterwards after prolonged travel faster than light.

Ahh yes, the Sun Plunge. What we\'re talking about here is boosting your own self to the speed of light.

Looks like small crafts really have the last laugh when it comes to these.

There\'s been some discussion about it, and what we think is happening, is that whatever causes the Kraken acts on individual parts. Large ships invariably have more parts, and so the Kraken has more parts it can act on. So a ship with just a CM is effected by an imperceptible amount, but as more parts are added, it starts feeling more effects. We don\'t know exactly how it grows, but it seems to not be a linear growth. That is, adding single parts to small ships has little effect, but adding single parts to large ships has a much greater effect.
