Tweakable Lift or stabilizer...?

Recommended Posts

I recently built a huge SSTO that works GREAT... except, it turns slightly to the right on re-entry. I think I'm good at making space planes but this kind of thing has happened before. I think the large vertical stabilizers are generating "lift" to the left and causing the plane to turn right. I would love a way to "tweak" the wing parts to either lift, or stabilize.

I have 2 nearly vertical "Delta Wings" (offset by about 20 degrees, inward, w/ mirror symmetry) and "Standard Control Surfaces" attached. that's all for stabilizers. Its a fairly simple design for how large it is. It's the first Mk3 cockpit I've got into orbit on a SSTO plane without a "booster stage". The plane always wants to "yaw" to the right. There isn't an engine flameout causing it, and the fuel tanks are balanced.

There is a lot of beer in me at the moment and I don't usually do this stuff on forums. I'll find a way to upload a picture of it when I wake up. thank you for reply.

Ah Ha! I had one air intake on the side open and other side was closed. The plane flew perfect as soon as I fixed it. I noticed the plane start to turn when the rapier engines switched to closed cycle and I checked the intakes.

I simply forgot to re-assign them in the action group after attaching them in a different place.
