Pure Liquid fuel nukes?

I know that this is often discussed but now tweakables have come around I'm wondering what is stopping the Nuke engines running on pure liquid fuel? I've tweaked the config on my own ones but it would be nice for it to be in by default.

Nukes should use hydrogen, not liquid fuel (That is used by jet engines, so I don't think it is hydrogen)

I'd rather that the liquid fuel and for jets, rockets and nukes was the same personally. not strictly realistic (though it is possible) but have lots of different fuels with their own tanks would completely clog up the parts list.

Just remove the oxidiser... I often do that on my jets to get the right sized fuel tanks.

Jet tanks are alot lighter if you do that

Pure liquid fuel - or pure hydrogen - nuclear engine would be more realistic than the current one but it would require introducing a whole new set of fuel tanks. Aircraft fuel tanks are maybe a bit better (wet/dry weight) than rocket fuel tanks but they're also rather large. And don't really fit with rockets. And just tweaking oxidizer out means significantly worse wet/dry ratio for current fuel tanks and therefore reduced dv.

The difference between fuselages and fuel tanks carrying only liquid fuel is marginal, except for the Mk1 fuselage. In Mk2 and Mk3 fuselages, dry mass is 20% of total mass. If you drain a liquid fuel tank of oxidizer, the dry mass becomes 21.7% of total mass. The Mk1 fuselage is a lot worse, with dry mass 31.8% of total mass.
