Atlas-centaur predates Saturn 1...

I'm sorry your right, I just checked it and I saw the picture and I know that I was thinking of one of the newer atlas rockets being used today. The rocket I see is not the same, thank you Kryten. This time I was right in mind, but the names caught on me... That is NOT a common factor

Well I do want ye olde rockets, but I want the ones which DID make it to space... Besides the V2 was cool, but it was almost completely (as far I'm aware of) designed by Wherner Von Bruan... Without him the damn thing might not have ever gotten above 1000ft.

Hmm, the V-2 did make it to space, though.

Albeit barely.

In fact, the first picture from space was from a V-2 launched by the US Army at White Sands.
