Weird Structures on the Moon Of Kerbin

Lately, I have been landing quite frequently on the closest celestial body to the main planet, Kerbin; The Mun. I apparently landed next to this tall

gravestone with the word "SQUAD" and a picture of a monkey imprinted on it. It looks just like the pre-menu splash screen. Did the developer of

KSP die on the Mun? Is that why there are no more updates in a long time? R.I.P awesome developers;.;

Lols, congrats! You have found your first Easter Egg! These Monoliths (Ala 2001: A space Odyssey) are scatter throughout the Kerbol System for intrepid explorers to find! So Congratulations on you accomplishment!

yeah that's pretty awesome you found one just by chance. they are very rare and sought after treasure!!!

I remember stumbling upon my first one (I won't spoil which) on the Mun. Strangely enough, it just happened to be a few km from my first successful Mun landing after I bought the game.

There's also these cool rock formations on the Mun that you can look for. They look more natural than the monoliths, but still stand out pretty well against the typical ground. You'll know them when you see them! There's all sorts of cool stuff scattered around the planets. Even on Kerbin! (If you want to spoil yourself, many of them are on the wiki or in certain threads on the forums. There's maps to each of them around as well. Finding them by chance is more exciting though, imo)

You know what this means, now you'll have to send mission to the muns of Jool, to investigate an even bigger one, just make sure that mechjeb doesn't develop any homicidal tendencies due to programming conflicts.
