I want to do some really outrageous completely unique suits for these ships. This is just the first and the Prof hasn't even got his monocle yet...

I need sleep... but i must fly around in new suit first !

Could there perhaps be a way to build the rocket more compact?

I was thinking about combining fuels in one tank, Like whaleoil and oxidiser maybe. Probably wont help much as the parts are allready quite compact compared to stock eg stock tank holds half the fuel and is only 25% shorter than 2 of mine.

I have new ideas coming for toroidal tanks etc :)

I love this mod. but for some reason my kerbals who where on eva seem to be frozen.

I havnt had this happen on my test rig yet, I will have to move my stuff over to my full install and try to replicate it.

What about some kind of heat shield for DRE compatibility? Old newspapers, a towel, asbestos roof tiles are all possible material candidates...

You just read my mind

I have been thinking about a heatsheild or two, still on drawing board...

It would be nice to have some science parts, too. Hanging stock science parts on steampunk rockets kinda breaks the mood. Some suggestions:

Thermometer and Barometer:

You could do them separately as in stock, so the Thermometer could look like this:

And the Barometer could be one of those glass tubes with dyed water inside like this:

OR, better yet, you could combine them with a clockwork recording mechanism in the same unit, like this:

Seismic Accelerometer

Various cogs and gubbins in a glass case, with recording paper, like this:

Gravitometer

I don't think there are any historical examples but I figure a combination of a spring scale and a pendulum would work.

Mystery Goo

I can't think of anything except a brass and wood version of the stock one.

Materials Bay

I can imagine a rack with lots of little vials like a chemistry set, with the stoppers removed mechanically.

Mobile Lab

This, of course, would have to be totally Frankenstein with sparks flying everywhere from Wimshurst generators, Jacob's Ladders, Van de Graff generators, etc.

Sensor Array Nosecone

Definitely need a weathercock for this :).

Very nice! I will put the professor onto it and see what happens

Maybe some copper external fuel lines to transfer water, whale oil, and oxidizer into the boilers and such? Or even just copper external fuel lines so we can do steampunk asparagus staging. Also I am sure bigger capsules and water tanks will be coming in the future? Last comment and it is purely for people who dont like to play around. Me I like love playing around figuring out how to make the various tanks, engines, and goodies to work some people really might get frustrated not knowing how to get rockets off the ground immediately. So better definitions of how to put the parts together in the descriptions or craft files so people can see how things work. That all being said once again this is truly a fabulous and refreshing mod. Its also beautifully made and well thought out. The biggest of high fives to you.

Hmm know not perhaps a bit Tesla Style technology would look good too.

You know Teslacoils and so...

Ohhh and what is very important (especial because your parts do not support fuelconnection) we need a steampunk version of the fuelpipeline in the Stockspart.

And a ladder is needed too that the poor guy must not fall out his barrel.

And radial mountable tanks, to must not all stuck in one line.

Can the Commandpod look a bit more curved like the wahelfish oil barrel?

Perhaps a bigger one like the now one you know.

Hehe I hoped a bit to make sth like this *giggles* (yes I know this works not hehe this is a rocket ouf one of my chldhoods fav cartoons *gg*)
