Anyone here play Gmod?

I don\'t actually play it myself yet, but I am very interested in getting it, and have already been thinking up a ton of projects, including using wiremod and the equation t=sqrt(2d/g)[where t=time to hit ground, d=height, g=9.8] to find out how long it will take for a falling rocket(Cuts off engines mid flight) to hit the ground, and using the speedometer and thrusters to create an automatic six direction insta-brake.

Anyone here build anything interesting or know some good addons? I want to know what to get when I get Gmod. Though since I play KSP, you probably know which one is at the top of my list.

I got GMod last week and am still in the very early stages of rocket design. I would recommend the solar system map. \'tis fun to explore if you have the right craft. Mine is an air boat with six balloons strapped to the pontoons. Makes an excellent flying machine.

I play, and i am fustrated with it. I produce engines (car type engines) and fit propellers to them, drive them around. My flying machine is a twin engined, finned (no hoverballs, thrusters or keep upright used) prop plane, which gets into the air and doesn\'t fly well.

They are hard. The mods you really need for prop planes are fin tool (optional wing tool as well). It gives you props lift when they spin.

What is Gmod?

Gmod or Garrys mod is a full game based on valves source engine. It started as a Half Life 2 mod, then only required you to have a game on steam that runs on the source engine. There is no objective to the game, you are just on one map (of varying size), can spawn a bunch of different objects (or props) into the world. Then you build with it.

A halflife 2 mod that turns it into a sandbox physics game, and is based largely off of community built addons. Here are some examples of what can be done:

Hey guys, sorry for the double post and minor bump, but I got Gmod 4 days ago. I\'ve been trying to get Spacebuild, Wiremod, the whole lot, to work in Gmod, but when I put the SVN for Spacebuild 3 from Snake\'s website, I can\'t use the models in game, the categories for the props don\'t even show up and any maps that use the props show up as errors, though all the dying in space and stuff and all the life support tools and models work. I also put SBEP\'s SVN in there, and none of it\'s models show up. The Stargate pack works, but that was through a download rather than SVN. Is that the problem? If so, why would it be?
