Bigger ARMS

I use the ARM a lot, but it's wildly unstable with the new NASA parts when moving asteroids around. A different size in arms, like the docking ports, would be real nice.

By ARM do you mean claw? or are you using a mod?

Also we just got the new parts, asking for more so soon is a bit...er...greedy, especially after the stick the Devs got over the release date.

You can use landing gear around the craft to add extra support to the vehicle, they had suspension so they can adjust to asteroid shape... Also if one claw aren't enough you can always use more .

You can also put three claws in a tripod arrangement for greater stability when attached.

I like your idea karolus, but when I tried it and used physical time warp, the craft exploded. Bug maybe?

I actually would like a smaller arm for attaching probes to asteroids.

It should have almost no structural strength so that you would need a larger one to move the asteroids.

Maybe a little prop sized claw would be nice, but I don't see why you'd use a small craft to push a huge hunk of rock about space. Seems impractical to me.

Just a side-note: the part isn't called the "arm", ARM refers to Asteroid Redirect Mission - The name of the expansion pack. The part's name is, colloquially, "The Claw". Its real name is "Advanced Grabbing Unit" (AGU).

You wouldn't use a small craft, you would use a large craft and a small and light arm.

If it had almost any strenght it would make docking ports and the larger claw useless.

I'm talking about claws that would be the same diameter as the new NASA fuel tanks.
