Engine give no trust

Hi,

Is it possible that my engine are to close to the asteroid? When i fire them a full trust a do not get any difference in velocity. I put the asteroid in a stable orbit by pushing it but pulling it does not seem to work.

Any help will be appreciated.

It doesn't look like that setup would work because the engines are pointed at the asteroid. Also, you're using the nuke engines which have very low thrust so it's possible that you don't have much power either. Try reversing the design and pushing it instead.

Yes. The engines are too close to the asteroid, do not have the engines thrusting into the asteroid

Yes. I don't know what the minimum distance is, but it's further than you have.

You should be able to find out on the ground. Mount a couple of the big structural panels sticking out horizontally, then mount engines out above them, making it easy to adjust the heigh of the engines.

I buit a test rig and it seem that the minimum distance to get trust with the nuke is 3 and 1/3 xl girder
