I was planning on buying KSP today and created a forum account.

So, hello!

So far i've played the demo and messed around like i was baiting the Kraken.

Scott Manley's tutorials also help a lot.

Scott Manley's video's are the reason I started playing the game. I bought it at christmas time and took me about a month to actually start playing. Once I watched and tried some tutorials of his I was hooked.

To play this game without dying all the time, you need to join the Kerbal Space Cult and worship the Kraken so that it doesn't eat you! Occasionally you have to give it offerings of rocket-flesh and fuel-blood, but other than that the Kraken will leave your ships and sometimes even aid you in your quest.

I would recommend start by building basic ships that get into orbit easily; bigger usually isn't better. You might think that more fuel is better, but it also adds weight and drag. Keep it simple, and keep Jeb alive.
