Staging names: ?

Is there a standard nomenclature for the various ways of staging a rocket?

Pancake, onion, asparagus are fine, but what about when it gets complicated?

I would expect there to be a reasonably straightforward, methodical system whereby one can describe a rocket's staging in unambiguous terms.

For example, How would I describe this.... thing.... of mine's staging?

And no, I do not think that ROTFLMAO! or ABOMINATION! BURN IT, BURN IT WITH FIRE! are the descriptions I'm looking for.

T+0: ignite 19 * mainsail, 12 * big SRB, 24 * small SRB (the srb's provide a more rapid approach to terminal velocity. i.e. fixx launch TWR)

T+30: drop the 24 * small SRB boosters

T+49: drop the 12 * large SRB

T+1:43 Drop the 12 * outer Mainsails, Ignite the 6 * Skippers on the upper deck (The skippers are mostly to augment upper deck's poodles, in orbit circularization. Also ballast to prevent the Mainsails from going too fast)

T+2:35 Drop the remaining 7 * Mainsails on first deck, ignite 7 * Poodles on upper deck

T+3:52 Drop the 6 * Skippers from the upper deck.

After this, its a "standard" asparagus that drops pairs of the Upper deck Poodles, ignites the matching Poodles on the lander, and crossfeeds fuel from the core to the lander, so it stays full.

Lander is 7 * Poodle, with basic onion feed from the outer tanks to the core.

Core is return vehicle, single poodle.

So this is.....what?

7-core mainsail stage 1, with 12-core mainsail booster, with 12 SRB dropoff booster and 24 dropoff small srb booster, with.... ARG!H how do I describe the upper-deck 6 skippers that fire halfway through the first stage, and 2/3 way into the second stage?

What do i call my contraption of a regular 1+6 asparagus upper stage, that when staging activates a similar motor on the level above it, which is also fuel-fed from the lower bit? Vertical hybrid asparagus?

If anyone here has a more organized mind that can classify this sort of setup for us, or knows of a posting/forum/website that has better info, I would be very grateful.

There's no problem with mixing staging-strategies in a single vehicle but as far as I know 'hybrid' or '*******' (<-- ho, ho; only just noticed the forum doesn't like "illegitimate child") would be the only descriptions. Strictly though I would think you could describe the strategy just from one stage to the next, "onion-staged with parallel SRBs", for instance. Since onion/asparagus depends on fuel-lines SRBs must be stack, radial or parallel.

Yeah, I think I agree that it's a mixture of some of the "basic" staging concepts.

By the way, that's a pretty nice looking rocket.

I wish people would observe a standardized, systematic method of taking screenshots... which would begin with "timewarp until it's daytime".
