This was my first thread.Back then it was 35 nowadays it's ~170 without too much effort.

I'm confident I could put 200ish into orbit in one run, but I don't have the time or the system to build a lifter for that.

I've done over 200 before, but, well... what's the real point of this challenge? Is there any way to win?

There were a few launchers above 1000 ton payload capacity.

I managed so far 520 ton.

A better challenge, put a fixed weight, say 200 tons, heavy payload in 100k orbit with scoring based upon the lightest lifter that can get the job done. You might need several categorizes such as vertical launch with rockets only, one with jet engines for the boosters, one for lowest cost, and one for aircraft. Also, stock only? or mods?

Anyhow, from version 0.23 stock only, 200+ tons.

Hm ok it is really easy now to make a simple 'heavy' lifter (by <=0.23 definition). I stitched something together without planning and it reached orbit on 2nd launch:

175.4t payload into an 85km orbit with a launch weight of 975.4t. That makes 17.98% payload fraction.

The vessel consists only of 71 parts (12 for cosmetic reasons and 7 in the payload), so I guess even small computers should now be able to handle such payloads. And by Kerbal standards this thing even looks like a rocket

This thing lifted a 630T fuel station into a 160x150km orbit with enough fuel left to deorbit it after a bit of orbital maneuvering.

2034T to stable orbit. 168 parts, so should run on most people's machines. SSTO (do I get extra points for that?).

IMO ARM parts are a bit overpowered...

This was done using the Stock Rebalance project. 150 tons to orbit with over 1200m/s left in the boosters. No onions, no Asparagus, no vegtable matter of any kind. It's Super Serial.
