Asteroid Station Emerald

so ive been spending the last two weeks capturing an E class and turning it into a space station,

Known as Asteroid Station Emerald, this is am massive project by me to turn an asteroid into an ISS style space station, and it is truely BIG.

like i have to build massive launch vehicles just to get the seperate parts of the first two modules to it

ill post progress updates as it is built

Alright, I've got the part C sections attached, I have one of the two D sections waiting to be attached tommorow,

But to give you an idea of the size, I have to launch the FIRST module itself (which there are two of actually, just the same thing on both sides.) in pieces, with each of the tanks individually , which there are about six of for each side, and these are kw tanks the size of the Rockomax orange tanks!

I don't think Whackjob could've launched the entire thing at once.

And the solar modules, which there are six of for each side (iirc ATM) are the aquivalent of launching MY USUAL STATION CORE (which is big btw... I might have an overbuilding problem) so that'll be a pain when I get to that part,

Their like big long sticks of fuel tanks covered in solar panels, which all these together could probably power kerbin for centuries after an hour

I'll get a screenshot tommorow.

Though, maybe I could use this to convert the Kerbol system's Kethane to fuel, and ore to rocket parts...

trying to rotate it and keeping it pointing the right way during getting it to orbit was horrible... i resorted to sticking tons of little "drones", pretty much little probes made of rcs and sas to help, i stuck tons in it, so the part count got to above 500, the little ship sticking out on top of the asteroid is one of the drones, and their like 20-30 parts each, so it was laggy as hell.

i had to remove most of them just to be able to take less then an hour to dock each part.

and i probably wouldnt wanna do much pushing it after its fully built
