So I figured something out

Ok so you may have already figured this out but the name kerbodyne (from the new rocket parts) comes from the company rocketdyne which is responsible for the manufacturing of the Saturn 5, s first stage rocket engine the F-1!

I also assume Probodobodyne Inc, who make all the tiny probe cores, several experiments, and a few other things, are named after Rocketdyne, unless there's another real world -dyne company I'm not aware of.

I always thought of Rockomax as being a play on this as well, by starting with a similar prefix.

Cyberdyne... :) No really, there's a company called Cyberdyne, it's not just a Terminator reference.
