The asteroid grabber is not showing up in the tech tree plz help

the asteroid grabber is not showing up in my tech tree. The unlock thing that squad added is not there plz help

Go to the r&d facility. Find the node with the klaw in it and select it. Click on the photo of the claw and choose research. This happens when you add or remove parts (from mods) or move your save to another version.

I believe it is In a new node entirely, so you may have to unlock the node. It will cost you 160 science.

I had the same issue by the way when I patched the game and then started a new save... Actuators node is simply empty. Nothing to click inside of it.

Then I backed up that save, told Steam to remove all local content and redownload, and after that it worked.

Moral of the story: fresh install is always better than upgrade

I found that sometimes when you unlock a new piece of the tech tree, the parts still need to be 'bought'. On the tech tree, the green icons may have a small number next to them, click on the icon, then in the box on the left, click on the pieces with a value below, u should now 'own' these and be able to use on the VAB.

Yes, this has been causing all manner of problems. Definitely make sure you have a copy of your saves first.
