I'm stuck in orbit

Recommended Posts

I made a spaceship and launched it into orbit, okay. So I ran out of fuel and i have roughly 2000 speed in an almost perfect circle orbit. I'm also out of power and fuel. How do i recover my space craft? Also the game wont let me make another ship without resetting this one. I'm really early on and don't want to reset and lose all the science... PLEASE HELP!!!!

Is your ship throttled up? Even if you have no fuel left, the game won't let you save if you're throttled up. Press 'x' to kill the throttle, and then it will let you quit back to the space centre to start building a rescue ship (or abandon your Kerbals to their fate).

If stuck has docking port:

Build an orbiter, with a docking port, plenty of monopropellant, and space for an extra kerbal, and rendezvous with the craft. Search up some guides for this, I'm no expert!

Once you have docked, CAREFULLY EVA the kerbal in the previously stuck craft to the retrieval craft, and head back to Kerbin.

If stuck craft has no docking port

Build an orbiter, with plenty of RCS, and again, space for an extra kerbal.

Rendezvous with the stuck craft.

Get the kerbal to CAREFULLY EVA to the retrieval craft.

Head back to Kerbin.

Hope this helped.
