can we have a larger limit on private messages?

Hi Guys, sorry if this has been asked already, I couldn't find mention of it in a google search thou.

I understand why there is a need to limit the length of private messages but 5000chars is pretty limiting. Whenever someone messages me to ask for help I find I bump into that limit and have to split it over 2 messages. Is there a way that users who have been on the forums a while or have got above a certain rep could be allowed longer messages. perhaps once someone has been here say 2-3 months and not been guilty of any forum offences could they have a larger limit?

Is that even possible? What do you think?

Good question. I don't know if that's possible, but we're currently looking into upgrading the forum version. It may better be left for then.
