RazorWolf19
I was having a bit of a walk down memory lane earlier today when I revisited my old missions and accomplishments through the magic of the screenshot folder. However, I thought to myself, "How come there's no in-game way to view these? Why do I have to go through files on my computer simply to access pictures related to my game?"I thought this up quickly, but I feel it would be extremely convenient to have a way to access our screenshots within the game. I could see this going one of two ways:1) A Title-Screen Implementation: -Would be an option on the main menu -Would lead to either a grid interface with a scroll bar containing all the pictures OR directly open up a window to the Screenshots folder2) A Fully-In-Game Implementation: -Would be a separate facility(?)(Not Likely) -Would be part of a current facility(More Likely) -Most likely R&D Dep. Science Archives (Or a new tab entirely) -Could be tied to missions (EX: "Screenshot X taken during mission X" ;tied together) -Viewable and tracked as game progress (EX: landed on Mun) -Treated as a picture taken during the mission (by the crew or probe)I don't know... just a thought...Hope you guys enjoyed/are interested. BudgetHedgehog
Ooh, good idea! I think it might be nice integrated into the R&D science archives. Along with the experiments, there'd be a button to 'view pictures of X' which'd have your screenshots in (info taken from whatever planet you're orbiting). Strikerklm96
Maybe the screenshots can get taken if you have a Kerbal on Eva, and they are worth science (depending on where you are of course, as with any science item) as well as the gallery thing if you return them. Kasuha
I think it's not necessary for the game to implement some kind of mediocre image viewer when there are many very good and comfortable specialized tools available for download all around the internet.I have about 3 GB of KSP screenshots, organized by mission/challenge and KSP version in which I recorded them and whenever I feel like taking a look at them again, I use FastStone viewer because it provides all the comfort I need for browsing directories, image lists or viewing images. If you don't have something better, I highly recommend using it.
Bearsh
STEAM Users get one everytime they quit the game after they've taken screenshots with STEAM instead of the F1.But it'd be a good idea like when you quit playing it'd pop up so it doesn't interrupt anything. It would make finding these screenshots easier as forums like links than the image itself, I never knew why?
