Space Engineer

Hey all! I just got the alpha game Space Engineers. It's a voxel-based space game centered around...well building and flying space ships. Yeah, LEGO in space. If anyone has heard of StarMade, it's pretty similar, but graphics are amazing! The best part? Collisions. Each and every block is taken into account, along with different damage status for individual blocks.

Anyone else played it?

Press G....?

More like "press buy." :P

All the information I had at the time said that you couldn't make custom ships ala KSP. And I'd already blown cash on a few other starter games that had proved to be a lot less than they were cracked up to be (Alpha-stage or not)

I spend an hour every few weeks looking at gameplay videos and reviews, but haven't bought it yet. I want to, but I just can't get past how ugly the interiors are. I want to build those ships and bases, and then I realize I couldn't stand spending that much time in there. Big, empty, dark interiors depress me.

I'm sure they'll pretty things up over time, just like KSP has. Soon as that happens, I'll buy a copy. That's why I keep going back to look at the videos. :)

It's not too bad once you get used to things. If you don't like interiors anyway, why not build fighters? They can be just as fun to build and fly. Dogfighting with a friend is fun, too.
