F-35B Mock Up

Recommended Posts

Well, I made an F-35 replica... It's a mock up because I'm awful at making exact replicas.

And damn do those TT vert engines look good. There's no way you didn't make these engines for the F-35 in particular you sneaky *******! (<3 you though)

Uses B9 (gear), LLL (weights), TT VTOL engines obviously, and p-Wings.

PS: as someone training to fly F-35B's... this thing is harder to fly. Jeez.

FYI, the vtol version (35B) was made for the marines. the navy had one with wider wingspan for shorter takeoff (35C), and the military one is the "normal" (35A), aka the one without vtol or stol. just some quick facts

? I thought the navy one was the B?

EDIT: Errrr kinda scratch that; it depends on which country is buying them; the UK is only buying B's for the RAF and their Navy, but Italy is buying A's and B's for their Navy... you learn something new everyday!

Nice work on the plane though horndgmium!

Ha I thank you for the facts, but I'm at flight school to learn to fly one of these baddies, so they may be directed the wrong way :P .

Thank you I appreciate it!

Yeah, but it's also not coming into service for the navy for two more years so they've got some time to take car of it.

Besides, the B does carrier landings anyway... I'm not quite sure why the C is even necessary unless it is capable of carrying a serious amount of armament that the B can't.

Yeah, it has a big wing so it lands nice and slow, and can carry much more ordinance and fuel than the B needs.

They'll get the arrestor hook stuff figured out. It's just a structural engineering issue. Very surmountable.
