Post Tanks/Ground Vehicles/Artillery/Derp/Bacon

Recommended Posts

Ermagerd it's been like 5 year since I posted. :P

I doubt anyone has noticed my absence though.

ANYWAYS... post your tanks/ground vehicles etc. here. I need stuff to blow up. Reasons classified. Maybe. Might be for fun.

...

I don't have any to share... I tried... it blew up... instantly.

...

BUT YEAH. THAT. I WANT TO SEE YOUR TANKS.

Weclome back!

Lets get started with uhh, sort of a tank:

-snip-

This is Stealth Rover, and it is awesome.

I don't... what?

EDIT: I think it would be too stealthy for me to blow up.

And oh look, a year in the community. Yay. :)

  • 3 weeks later...

My vehicle is a tank (destroyer) i decided to create without using DYJ's gatling gun(it will stop working eventually, probably)

I call it the AV-2 Light Tank Destroyer and don't ask me what happened to the AV-1, even i don't know the answer

You will get the answer to the "intresting" front design later

=

Specs:

Armor: 3 M-1x1 plates thick in the front (except for the hard to get weakspot), 3 of those plates thick also and alot of I-beam-pockets on the side, and 2 plates thick back armor, along with 4 650-I-beams (sorry, you're gonna need more than an H-mortar to kill off the kerbal in the vehicle)

Speed: 22.8 M/s (come on, its using the fastest wheels, what did you expect? 15 M/s?)

Guns: It has got 2 simple I-beam-pockets with 4 seperatron 1s on each rocket, the guns are the thing that let this thing down the most, it can't penetrate anything, possibly unless you're a long-range shooter

Other thing: Auto-aim system which consists of 1 OKTO2 probe and 2 cubic octagonal struts arranged in a specific manner(with the OKTO2's top facing forward), and the ability to repair the wheels (everything needs that these days)

=

Now, about the front "spike", it is mainly there to prevent flipping after braking, but as we found ou- WAIT, AV-2, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

XSwjwHo.png

(the AV-2 infront of the PD 7t TS (based off of the AMX 13t) with Import/Lend-lease/Gifted/Stolen-from-museum/Fished-out-of-a-river weaponry that it flipped)

Well, it did show off the thing it can also do, but on a friendly tank, basially, the AV-2 used it spike to flip the PD 7t on the wall of the SPH, and broke some of its front i might add, what a useful unintended feature!

But i do suspect that the spike won't work on the Churchill in the post above... ah well, i'll probably never face up against it

TANK COMPARISON TIME

4rTLzDq.png

Apparently the ugly thing and the PD 7t T (not the TS)

Im already seeing creepy similarities...

(the PD 6-7t lines' turrets are made to look more like the AMX 12t turret)

EDIT: Heres the download link for the 2 vehicles (PD TS not included) http://www./download/0w2fs2fkmujsf1j/PD_7t_T_and_AV-2.zip maybe you could make a video with them, fight them with their closest counterparts from your KSP, idk, but the PD T is sensetive to braking or going backwards, and if you're not using the probe ontop to control the said PD(you're gonna have to switch to controlling it with the "control from here"), the controls are reversed, blame the way i had to design it and allow it to have repairing tires

Yeah, the after testing its armor against my Panther's guns it looks pretty much the same as your tank did in that pic xD

Destroyed it seems that they both have many similarities

wait.

Exclusively-on-the-ground tanks? I only make flying tanks!

(I haven't put missiles on this thing but I still think it counts as a bona fide tank. Missiles go on those two adapters in front.)

12 Kerbals, 247 parts, 7 rocket engines, and about four billion control surfaces.

...and here's proof that it flies (I know you want it)...

Enjoy! Let me know what you think.
