Stereo LED display gone awol

The display on my stereo has suddenly stopped working. I can see the little leds moving, but they're are not lit - any ideas? Is this a common thing that afflicts car stereos? Could it be a fuse or something set with a combination of key presses?

Ok some useful advice now.

Have you tried checking if the wires have disconnected to the backlight? (NOTE: Dont proceed to open your device if its under warranty, just let them do the fix. After all its under warranty!).

Its almost never an option to deliberately stop the backlight (As far as i understand).

And no i have never seen a car stereo with this type of problem,So it is probably a rare thing.

Avada Kedav--!

Sorry, wrong one. Um...

Levicorpus!

(Moved to the Space Lounge.)

No, it's Wingardium Leviosa!

And I don't know what's wrong with your stereo. What do you mean by "the LEDs are moving, but they're not lit"?
