Kerbal Speed Program - A Chipmunk Commentary Career Mode Series in .23.5

In this series, I take a page from Vechs and his Chipmunk Commentary series for his Minecraft maps, and crank up the video speed (150%) and more judicious editing to fight against my tendency to make looong videos. This is a full career mode let's play in .23.5 with the end goal of putting asteroids in orbit around each body in the solar system. For additional amusement, YouTube's automatic captions get even crazier than usual trying to work out what I'm saying!

And despite what I learned from making my "How to Science!" tutorial series, I make several noob mistakes you can laugh at as well.

Episode 2 has been posted. In this one, I get into orbit, collect lots of EVA science, then start the next mission to fly by Mun.

I was watching it with automatic captions, and I swear the captioning software made a "your mom" joke!

Episode 3, I complete flybys of Mun and Minmus to unlock lots of science.

Episode 4, Time to actually land on Mun and see if it's really made of cheese!

Episode 5, I put a Science Station around Mun with a lander so I can collect more science from more biomes.

Episode 6. I take the lander down from the Mun Science Station, then once I'm back, bring up some extra fuel from Kerbin.

. I start the series of Mun missions from the station. I stick the first landing, but derp it up when trying to re-dock with the station. Sigh.

. I continue with the Mun missions. The first landing mission goes swimmingly, but on the second one, I have a slight fuel problem.

. I send a rescue refueler, then continue with more landings to collect sciencey points.

[Jimor]

. I finish with the Mun missions, and send a science ferry from Kerbin to take all of the science points back home to spend on some sweet new gear.

. I design, build, and launch the ship that's going to capture our first asteroid!

[Jimor]

. I bring my first asteroid back home to live around Minmus.

[Jimor]

. I send a lander to the Minmus Asteroid Station, but before it can dock, it needs to repair some damage caused by the Space Kraken.

. I attach the rest of the modules to the Minmus Asteroid Station in preparation for some science gathering landings.

. I make a series of 4 landings on Minmus to collect more science.

. I latch onto a class E asteroid, but forget to bring extra reaction wheels or RCS, so... um....

Edit: I've also started doing some "Kerbal Quickies" videos of stuff that doesn't fit into the let's play. Just weird builds or other small things.

, Inside Out Staging. Dropping stages from the inside of the craft instead of the outside.

, Tower Staging. 13 orange tanks stacked on top of each other, with 6 radial engines each to provide lift, and fuel lines running upward to burn out the lowest stage next. It's like flying a wet noodle, but it DOES fly and even makes it into space despite several explosions.

. I assemble the new, and hopefully better, asteroid tug in orbit around Kerbin, then start heading for the rendezvous with the crew stuck to the E-class asteroid.

. Can I really maneuver a 3200 tonne asteroid with 4 nuclear engines, 4 orange tanks of fuel, and a space ship that wiggles like a wet noodle?

[Jimor]

. I send a new ship to intercept a class C asteroid to bring home, but it has its own problems and tries to get jiggy with the asteroid.

. I start hauling all my failed ships back into Kerbin orbit along with the asteroid and the tug that finally could. Still some work to do, but it's getting closer!

. I get the asteroid in a nice circular low Kerbin orbit, and then I start prepping things to rescue all those Kerbals in the failed asteroid tugs.

[Jimor]

. I bring all our wayward Kerbals back home in a series of short missions, which frees up the necessary kermanpower for building the asteroid base next episode.

. I bring up pieces of the new asteroid orbital station and attach them in preparation for interplanetary missions.

[Jimor]

. Now that the station is in place, I can use it to assemble the ship I'll send to Duna for more science.

. We take the Duna Explorer to Duna, get some orbital science, and then land on Ike for even moar!
