Utility Vehicle

Recommended Posts

This is a vehicle based on my failed attempt at a Mobile Crane. I added Infernal Robotics hinges to the wheels so they can tilt downwards, lifting the hull of the vehicle for clearing hills, preventing high centering, etc.

Be extra careful about going around turns while lifted... However, this does give a good view of the changes I made to make this work. Also kinda looks like a dead bug :D

Just a thought, but why not add anchors or landing gear? If it's falling over, then adding stability stuff would help.

No wait, got a better look at it, it drags stuff, right? If so, the issue is that the wheels are to close to the hull. Send them out a bit and it should be more stable. Wider base and all that. Could use IR to extend the wheels when you need to pull stuff with landing legs to send it up first.

I actually had to go pretty fast around a corner to get it to roll over like that. As for dragging its butt on the ground, that's why I added the Infernal Robotics hinges to raise the ground clearance. The fourth and fifth images are before and after raising the body with the hinges.
