I maybe a bit crazy, but does'nt that delta picture look like a 1001 KSP launches with a mainsail/skipper engine, a jumbo 64 fuel tank and some SRBs... heck even the assembly drawing looks like its been cadged from KSP

You've definitely been playing too much KSP, regardless of the subject of this thread, as all of us have. Delta IV is a pretty neat rocket. When the NASA pack came out I was wondering if the Kerbodyne KR-2L was based roughly on the RS-68, which is the engine that powers the Common Booster Core from the Delta family. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS-68

And the new parts in 0.23.5 are suspiciously similar to NASA's new SLS.

I would guess the Jumbo 64 was inspired by the shuttle's ET and the Delta IV.

OP has a point though. The whole exploded view with the tanks, engines, boosters, fairings, etc. all shown as separate parts really evokes KSP.
