Having a regular look through whats happening with launches/landings and anything space related when I come across the story about the next GPS launch

I maybe a bit crazy, but does'nt that delta picture look like a 1001 KSP launches with a mainsail/skipper engine, a jumbo 64 fuel tank and some SRBs... heck even the assembly drawing looks like its been cadged from KSP

Boris

Or have I spent too many hours playing KSP ? .....

You've definitely been playing too much KSP, regardless of the subject of this thread, as all of us have. Delta IV is a pretty neat rocket. When the NASA pack came out I was wondering if the Kerbodyne KR-2L was based roughly on the RS-68, which is the engine that powers the Common Booster Core from the Delta family. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS-68

KR-2L is based (very roughly) on the J-2X.

You know you play too much KSP when you think actual rocket parts look like KSP instead of KSP looking like actual rocket parts. Lol.

This.

There are a lot of ksp parts that are modeled after the real thing.
