Smaller photos

Recommended Posts

I have recently done a mission and would like to upload it here on the forums however whenever i do that and hit submit it says that it is to large its like 234,576 characters long and it can only be 100,000 long. I took the screenshots in KSP and took them out of the screenshot folder and put them on my desktop in a folder and just dragged and dropped them into the thread i was making. I was wondering if there is a way to make the photos smaller in size so that i can actually post my mission here

You have to post the images to a sharing site like photo bucket or imgur.com Imgur is nice because you can make those nifty albums.

Then you can post the links to images here. You do that by using the tags . Put the URL in between there and you're set. If you're doing the imgur album, it has a five letter identifier. You use the forum tags

Javascript is disabled. View full album
and put the five letter in between. Edited by Claw

You can't just copy a photo from your computer to the internet.

You have to upload it using a dedicated site like tinypic.com

Thank you these are both very helpful

If you go here:- http://www.irfanview.com/ you can download a free image editing program that will allow you to crop and resize pictures and also alter their formats - e.g. png to jpg, tiff to bmp, etc. It probably can do a lot of other things that I have never bothered to find out. I have used it for years and find it extremely useful.

If you are going to criticise, learn to spell properly. And yes, I have spelled criticise correctly. I am Australian.
