Can Kerbals from one ship get on another ship if there is room?

and can a Kerbal collect science from a probe that has an unmanned control center.

I have a probe which has very good science if I can bring the data home, I loss a lot of % by transmitting. So I plan to send a team up.

1. Yes, they can transfer from one ship to another by EVA'ing (Extra Vehicular Activity - AKA flying around in a spacesuit)

2. Kerbals can collect science from scientific instruments, as long as they are close enough. This science can then be deposited in a command pod or a few modded "science hard drive" parts.

3. The science cannot be collected if it has already be transmitted. If it hasn't, you can collect it.

This is true if you don't want to (or can't) EVA them.
