The Kerbals are desperate for their SCIENCE! as they need more of it to unlock most of the tech tree:

So, they are cooking something to go to Duna! With current technology and some basic ISRU capability with Kethane, here is the mission strategy:

1. Launch SCANsat Kethane

2. Launch mothership

3. Launch Kethane rig

4. Launch Kerbal Hab Module, and dock to the mothership

5. Launch Lander Module, and dock to the mothership

6. Send the SCANsat at a high delta-V fast trajectory to Duna

7. Send the mothership to Duna at a low delta-V slow trajectory to Duna

8. Aerobrake SCANsat and start scanning

9. Aerobrake mothership and Kethane rig

10. Land Kethane rig

11. Land lander module and start doing scientific experiments

12. Refuel from Kethane rig

13. Launch lander module to mothership and process the scientific experiments there

14. Go home
