The following is an announcement from the Imperial Leader.

It came to my attention that the Phoenix Corporation is using a tragic event to deface the name of Kerbal Imperial Astronautics. The Phoenix Corporation claims that a recent attack on a Caldari Navy research instillation was carried out by members of the Imperial Navy.

That is far from the truth. Reliable sources indicate that the attack was carried out by a pirate force of unknown origin. This pirate force then escaped into Imperial Space where they were caught and found guilty of piracy and the slaughter of over one hundred scientists and support staff. In accordance with Imperial laws, the pirates were sentenced to life imprisonment and the prototype they had stolen was destroyed.

In light of this tragic event, the Imperial Navy will be increasing its firepower and presence in Imperial Space to prevent such a tragedy from happening in Imperial Space.

A memorial in honor of the fallen scientists and support staff will be gifted to the Phoenix Corporation to erect at the spot of the horrible massacre. My sincere condolences go out to the families and friends of those who tragically lost their lives.

However, Phoenix Corp would also like to mention that this was an organized attack that would have high levels of encryption breaking to find the location and so we will be doing further investigation and we will be tracking down any and all traceable fragments until we get to the bottom of where everything went, who, and how.

Material prices for consumable goods will rise due to the latest attack of Pirates. As a reaction to maintain stability across the Kerbol SOI and its inhabitants all Kerbals are adviced to reduce their needs.

As long as the WMC is not supported and protected, we can not reduce prices again as we must rack up defenses to provide a stable and reliable support of needed goods.

Therefore the weapon and ship materials will be produced with higher workforce and a cost reduce for protectors by 15%.

All workers of WMC that have a A4998- Code are held to start working in the defense industry building to rack up the workforce in that sector.

The changes will follow in Numbers:

Consumable goods: +20% Costs

Weaponry and Defense amterial: -15%(For protectors)

Minerals: +-0%

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE KSPOLICE

The KSPolice would like to announce that it will be providing full support to any and all trade corporations in order to keep trade as safe as possible and to protect the lives of the traders involved.

All trade convoys will be receiving a support squad of 2 fighters each initially.

in 3 months time each can expect a frigate and 3 months later will receive a full carrier instead of the fighters and a cruiser instead of a frigate.

In one years time, the goal is that every convoy can have a carrier and battleship defending it as well as the frigates and cruses used stationed at necessary check points along trade routs.

However, this process will increase all taxes to citizens by 2% in order to push the production of ships to meet this goal. This should, in the end, preserve the trade routes and keep the economy growing and recovering in these hard times.

Hopefully The KSPolice will be able to supply all the protection needed and the cost of goods going up won't be necessary.

I was checking the combat rules and I've come across a problem. Fighters are OP. for example say I have 6 fighters, each with 2 AP missiles which can ruin capital ships, there is an entire fleet gone before they have a chance to strike back. And whilst I understand the meaning of 'Strike Craft' this rule kind of defeats the point of building anything other than carriers and fighters, bearing in mind the carrier I designed before it was stolen could hold 10 fighters and additional armaments.

however you have to pay for each one, and it still must fit INSIDE your carrier. They cannot go between planets. However we did decide they could go between moons, right Chroninja?

By the way guys, It turns out I will, yet again, be busy for about five more weeks. I got bad information about when we would be on break and such. However, Chroninja and I can still make some KCW videos. We still have that similar time thing I talked about. The only thing stopping this is my homework, presentation, and 2 papers.......
