I don't use a map or calculator other than KAC's transfer window feature. I haven't done a lot of interplanetary stuff, but here's what I know:

Going from a ~70km Kerbin orbit to a minimal Mun encounter takes about 830 m/s. A decently close encounter takes about 845.

Going from the Mun to a safe 10km Munar orbit takes about 550 m/s, so my Mun landers generally pack around 1200m/s total, which for a single-Kerbal lander or light probe is about 90 units of fuel.

Going from 70km LKO to a Minmus encounter takes about 900 m/s, so any comfortably-padded Mun transfer vehicle should make it pretty easily.

but....holding a protractor against the screen is no different than using a mod that shows you the angle. It's the same action taken. If you use a protractor, that means you looked up the right angle to use. Which means, just use a mod. :P

Thank you parameciumkid, i'll do a quick few tests on that and then add those to the chart hopefully ( I have to use my phone for editing)

I'm finally back! My computer is fixed, but I lost the hard drive, so I lost all of my game data. Which means I'm starting fresh with .24.2 I will not be able to test stats for a while, as I want to play .24 :P But I will be active on the forum a lot more, so I'm putting the project back on rails. Anyone still interested?
