After seeing Reddit's version of embing characters to contain links, I thought how much the KSP Forums could benefit from this. I really hope that during the next forum upgrade, a version of Markdown might be used. Heck, I'd even accept switching to a different forum software to use this - vBulletin isn't too good.

Markdown cannot currently be used on vBulletin, though I honestly don't really see the big advantage of using Markdown over BBCode. Can you explain that to me a bit?

Oh, well... there goes my hope. Anyway, I just thought that Markdown's system was far easier to use and read (while editing/writing posts) than the current BBCode system. At best, I hope there could be a simplification of sorts; BBCode is very hard to decipher when writing. There's been about 30 occasions so far where BBCode has screwed my posts over majorly.
