Can't clean ecperiments

I'm on my way to Duna, but I noticed I can't use my Mobile Processing Lab to clean my experiments after they have been used. I have no problems with it on my Eve lander.

As you can see there is no option to "Clean Experiments", even if there is an open goo container right above the Processing Lab.

This screen shot has been taken after the first one, just to see if this Lab on Eve still works as it should. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Or is this just a nasty bug ruining my science field trip?

Is your Mobile Processing Lab manned with 2 Kerbals?

Did you already "remove" the data from the experiment, say by transmitting it or by processing it? There's no point cleaning an experiment that hasn't had its results observed.

I removed the data and am still unable to clean any experiments. Is it because my experiments are docked to the Mobile Processing Lab rather than being attached to it? Also, although my lab is fully manned, the space station (which has the lab) command pod and the lander (which has my inoperable experiments) command pod are both unmanned. Is this the problem?
