I don't think the auxiliary fuel tanks on top were needed at all. They were full at landing. Embarrassingly, it flies better with them on.

Other than the loss of the tanker, the mission went well. Need to design a better tanker and then see if it can go anywhere else. The cradle has a pair of docking ports on the back so a couple of additional fuel tanks could easily be added.

Wonder how well the thing would fly on Laythe...
