No thread ratings in General Discussion?

Is there any reason that threads cannot be rated in the General Discussion subforum? Seems odd not to permit it there (or anywhere on the forum, really).

I think the same but anyway, seeing how thread rating is really badly use in mod forums (people think it is used to rate the mod itself ), I don't know what is better: remove this entirely or putting it everywhere.

I barely ever use thread ratings, they're not obvious or particularly relevant to me...

I think they're pretty pointless, they don't work as-is anyway.

Huh, I've been doing it wrong. I look at thread rating of a mod release thread as a rating of the mod, not a rating of the discussion of that mod. Similarly, in Suggestions & Discussion, I look at the thread rating as a rating of the suggestion, not the resulting discussion.
