Here, have some mild nostalgia.

I joined KSP in 0.16, but played 0.13.3 for about a month prior to that. This brings me to nostalgia.

When it comes to game versions, 0.18 is the mid-level nostalgia. This is when the game really started changing. Anything prior to that is extreme nostalgia, and anything after that and before 0.23 is mildy nostalgic

This does bring the nostalgia, as it was Spootyman's preview of 0.22 where I started watching KSPTV. If I don't miss my guess, this is Yarg's show which was followed by Kofeyh's, and then Spooty's. I would love to watch that episode again, so I am curious how you managed to find this!

Not cancelled, just delayed. And we'll leave that at that, no need for an argument. :)

A bit of both i believe. Resources 'As they were' meaning their big fancy flowchart, got the axe because it wasnt fun. So they are prolly doing some thinking on it before they try again. But I agree we dont need another argument about it.

What was the big change in 0.18, that made that mid-nostalgia?

http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Version_history#v0.18.4

In short, we got:

Docking

Maneuver Nodes

All the labels on map view apart from Ap and Pe

Renaming vessels

I think that's when we got the new resources (with transfer and such)

Music

I think that's when we got the new menu (3d models of Mun and Kerbin)

Probes

Action Groups

and a bunch other stuff.

I still remember when I first read Harv's first post on the .18 update, when he showed us progress on being able to click on orbit lines in the map view (required for maneuver nodes) and that maneuver nodes were the big seller. It was a huge improvement from .17 when we had planets but it was very difficult to navigate to them in stock.
