Question about what version of Unity to download

Recommended Posts

Exactly what it says in the title.

I'm wanting to get involved with modding KSP, and I have some ideas, but I'm not sure about what version of Unity I need. If someone can help me out, that'd be swell, if not, well Trial and Error is still a legit way to test stuff last I checked.

And on another note, if I've read the Parttools thread right, I need to install Parttools 0.20 then overwrite the old files with the ones form Parttools 0.23. If this isn't right, I'd like to know. :D

Thanks for your time and patience.

You want Unity 4.2.2. Later versions might sometimes work, but tend to have problems with the new animation methods.

It's not strictly necessary to install PartTools 0.20 first, it just makes it a little bit easier if you don't know exactly where to put the files. If you install 0.20 files first then they should be in the right location and you can just overwrite them with the 0.23 PartTools.

Thanks! That helps me out a lot.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
