How do I leave my unmanned rover on the Mun and return to Kerbal to launch a new ship

This is tricky to explain... but here goes.

I built a Mun rover that has both a Stayputnik and a one kerbal control pod. It works fine.

I launched to the Mun without a crew.

Landed and want it to wait there so I can send a crew to use it on the Far Eastern Crater.

But I cannot seem to get back to the Kerbal Space Centre and leave it there operating. It wants to revert me to an earlier time in this crafts flight.

Help please... how do I navigate back to the KSC?

P.s did you know a crew report can be sent from a control pod controlled by a Stayputnic even though it has no crew?

Sorry I found out the problem.... the mun rover was still throttled up... duh.:blush:
