I created this design to establish a permanent Duna outpost in one launch. It's a bit complicated, so bear with me.

So on the 2nd picture, starting from the right we have the tug/shuttle used for rearranging the modules and servicing the bases, immediately connected is the space station core with drive module. Radially mounted are two large fuel tanks with the bases mounted on the top. Each base has a full science suite plus a small rover (you can see one on the outside of the base on top). Docked to the center fuel tank are two adapters and two drive modules (4 nukes + 1/2 Orange tank). The idea is to use a drive module (and a detachable fuel tank if need be) with the shuttle to visit other moons or planets. I did not include a science suite on the shuttle, though you're welcome to add one.
