Surface Sample Config File

I found this question (unanswered) in another thread, but rather than necro that one I'll just make a new one...

Is there a way to change the value of surface samples? Since they aren't done using a part but with a kerbal instead, I can't find a xmitDataScalar to modify.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Do you want to be able to transmit surface samples at 100% efficiency?

Surface sample science values are determined by a base value (in the Sciencedefs.cfg I belive) and the planetary body multiplier.

Sorry, I guess I could have been more informative lol, I've been searching to internets for an hour for this so it's fresh in my head and made sense to me...

Yes, I want to be able to transmit and get full science, so I'm trying to find where I can modify that in the config files. And thanks Taki, I'll check that out right now.

To transmit full science you want to change the xmit data scaler to 1.

Are you sure you want to bother with cheating your way to science when 0.24 is about to come out and change it all anyway?
