This may have been mentioned before but I'm annoyed.

I'm trying to figure out the interstellar mod. So I'm trying to launch a reactor and science lab and figure out what to do with them but that's a whole nother question. My crew keeps disappearing and I always forget to repopulate it. The capsules are automatically assigned. Why cant the other module's with a mandatory crew compliment do the same thing? It's getting really annoying.

The current version of KSP automatically assigns crew only to the first available crew compartment on the vessel; by "first available", we mean the one that was placed closest in sequence to the root part.

One workaround would be to use the Ship Manifest add-on, which allows you to change crew assignments for all crew compartments on a vessel prior to launch from the launchpad / runway.
