Just like ISRO, who also uses bikes to carry small rocket parts. The Russian space agency also dries their spacesuits on clothes lines. I really think we've over stressed the complexity of space science to a average citizen...it's not that all mystical and non-accessible to the population. NASA aren't wizards, they're normal people. Space exploration isn't for a select few, and it certainly isn't as magical as many make it out to be.

It's a joke, and quite obivously noone caught it. I still like to think Kerbals use wheelbarrows and plastic bags to hold rocket components.

They use shopping carts too! When they're done checking out from Jeb's shipyard, they wheel that thing straight to KSC.
