very little fuel once in orbit (25-50 monoprop), but enough to get you down OR around (maybe not AND).

Oh man, I wanted to try this! Beat me to it.

So I'm curious why these were massively scaled up between Scott Manley's video and the update. I was really looking forward to them at their originally-shown size, but I find them less interesting now. Just take a look at this screenshot:

Very interesting point Gus, I agree, when I first loaded the part I thought it looked a little too big. Plus only 20 thrust, so unless it had a lower isp I don't think the size makes sense.
