hm okay an easy reaction if I recall correctly

Involves:

Nitric Acid mixed with Sulfuric Acid

dangerous already I see

Heating the mixed acids in solution with highly combustible hexanes which may be toxic if inhaled

alright...

Highly toxic Nitrogen Dioxide gases released during the reaction

I didn\'t die!

Although I almost did.

Basically while we were heating our mixture of Nitric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, and Nepthalene (the carcinogen) this happened.

Except thank god it shot straight up and not all over us.

And of course, it wasn\'t water that was exploding.

It was a hyperboiling, extremely acidic carcinogenic mixture.
