Recent reports from military data shows that the Krussians have made a nuclear ICBM capable of reaching KSC in less than 20 minutes. We need to protect ourselves from this deadly adversary, and in doing so, we request that our best scientists (I think) to build a Missile that can reach the Krussian Space Center (KSC 2) in under 15 minutes, and also working on our missile defense system.

Please do try and make the prices for the missiles to be lower than 100,000. Our military budget is reaching it's cap.

Quick parameters

1. You are only testing the missiles with duds, KSC 2 is safe.

2. You can test the missile defense system from KSC, no need to practice all the way from KSC 2, because we'll have cruisers near KRORAD carrying anti-ICBM rockets from the sea.

3. Be sure not to go over 100 kilometers at periapse, or it may alert the Dead Kerman system from Krussia.

4. The ICBM must reach KSC 2 in under 15 minutes.

5. No parts from unknown companies (mods).

6. Can't launch the anti missile closer than the edge of the runway from the launch pad.

7. Try and make the rockets look like actual ICBM's from the real world, no fancy asperagus staged rockets bigger than my first mun run.

8. Anti-missile rocket has to be able to hit the ICBM before it hits 20 kilometers above the surface.

Defense missile parameters

1. No more than two stages.

2. Can't go higher than 70 km.

3. Can't exceed cost of 100k

4. Only solid rockets.

5. Has enough power to destroy a rocket ahead of it.

ICBM parameters

1. Make it look like a real life ICBM (Google is your friend)

2. Can't go higher than 100 km.

3. Has to reach target in less than 15 minutes.

4. Must have a replica nuclear MIRV inside (2 RTG's around a short I beam)

5. Can't exceed cost of 100k.

6. First stage must be solid, and the later ones can be either one you want.

7. You can not change the direction or trajectory of the ICBM after T+30 seconds from Apoapse.

Scoring guide

You built an ICBM capable of reaching KSC 2 in under 15 minutes: +25

ICBM looks like a real life ICBM: +25

You have tested a defense missile on it: +50

You used mods: -100

You have launched the ICBM and made a defense rocket placed at KSC 2 to intercept the MIRV: +100

That defense rocket hit's the MIRV while it's falling: +1000

Cost efficient: +25

Krussians? I'm confused; they're our allies against the the Federal Plutocracy.

Of course, I could just make a cheap, easy, racist remark based on the politics of that mythical 'Earth' place. Who cares how many of the worldwide audience I offend?

well... I have built and successfully tested an SRB-boosted GGM/IRBM with designated targeting lock (via MechJeb and preplaced target marker), it's accurate to 20m and that's after falling over the horizon (I use RemoteTech which requires line of sight and range-capable comms back to KSC for all unmanned probes except those equipped with the 3m probe core). Maximum payload has been a tank of antimatter which pretty much vapourises everything in physics range on detonation. ABM warhead is more often than not a shroud of radial decouplers for some Kessler spam in the incoming's path. For near-infinite range, I could swap out the SRB for a stock jet and some Firespitter intakes...
