I can't research Basic Rocketry

My computer won't let me research Basic Rocketry. I have more than enough science points and i click on Basic Rocketry but the blue button to research it is not there. What do I do?

Do you have any mods installed? Outdated mods might mess things up.

To the right of the reputation meter, you should see how much science you have. Are you 100% sure you have at least 5? Sometimes the game rounds up from lower numbers; it might say 5 but you may only have 4.6.

Are you sure you've clicked on the node? A green border should surround the node you've selected.

If you're running a stock game and you said yes to the other two questions, try restarting the game.

If that doesn't work, I'd recommend a fresh install.

I don't have any mods installed. I am 100% sure I have enough science and I'm sure that the green box was around the node and I was on the node. Restarting the game doesn't work but I haven't tried reinstalling it so I will try that.

Could you give us a full-screen screenshot of your tech tree?

The research button should be showing up near the bottom of the right hand side of the screen, underneath the parts provided by the node.

Is that part of your screen visible?

I found out that I had to change my game resolution to fit the research box in. thx for your help.

Yeah, this has happened a couple times. What was your game resolution set too and what is your monitor's resolution?
