So, I recently picked up EVE Online on the midweek madness sale, for only 5€! I've downloaded it and as I write this it is doing some final prep in the launcher. Any protips for a newb? Also, what race do you recommend? I read a bit and I think I like the Minmatar (But I only read about them ). I want a race that's easy for newbs. Also, can you change your race later on even if it means a reset of your stuff?

yes, but if you will play it, i think that from time to time, they get some % off in the subscription fees on steam

It doesn't actually matter what race you pick, it only affects your starting skills. I started with Gallente but am now mainly flying Caldari and Minmatar ships.

Monthly subscription is not at all unusual for an MMO.

Still, 15€ per month is totally worth it. If you have a job and it's at least somewhat decent you would easily earn enough to be able to buy a month of subscription time every single day.

The cool thing is, once you're making enough money in the game, you can use that to buy more subscription time. But it costs A LOT, and you'll probably have to play for several months before you're able to earn enough.
