First post, and a question!

First off, so freaking disappointed I didn't pick this game up sooner! I'm slowly losing my social life thanks to KSP, and I'm still just practicing orbital rendezvous and docking!

Anyway, off to my question - I've recently noticed that when I hover over a part in the VAB (not in the actual part list, but when the part has actually been placed in the VAB) I get a part info label that pops up. Also, in the lower left hand corner, I'm now noticing a Delta V and TWR readout just to left of the COL icon. Anyone have any idea if these were introduced with the last major update, or either of the hotfixes? I didn't see anything that references these changes in the change logs, so perhaps it was added by a mod? Hoping someone knows where they may have come from, and perhaps how to disable them if possible? Worst case scenario I'll start removing each mod that I suspect may have added them, but am hoping someone here will know.

I don't particularly mind the part labels when hovering over the part, but the dV and TWR readout text at lower left are covered and unreadable since I use Simple Part Organizer, and it's icons are covering the readouts. If anyone can give me a heads up on what mod may have added these, or if it was one of the recent KSP updates it'd be most appreciated!

I think you mean ISP and TWR? That information has always been there, but a few versions ago (0.20 I want to say), they streamlined the item description boxes and stuck any non-essential information in a sub-section of the part description that you access by right-clicking while the description box is open.

Those are both added by Kerbal Engineer Redux v1.0.0.0 and later. Please note that it's a preview release of version 1.0, so while it has awesome new features like the tooltips, there are also several bugs that the amazing modders cybutek and Padishar are ironing out.

Sounds like a mod.

For deltaV, there are other mods that can also tell it. Mechjeb for example gives you a window that you can drag around.

I'd recomend you do keep some kind of deltaV readout, it helps a lot with making rockets

Can confirm, I have 1.0.2 in my install atm and I have what you describe.

Thanks everyone. I also confirm it was the public test release of Engineer. I read a post describing how to disable the tool tips, so all is well. Perhaps I will go back to the v6.x.x release until this test release has the bugs squashed. First class mod though, there's some incredibly talented programmers and modders here!
